Shakir Reshamwala, front-page editor and columnist for the Kuwait Times, and Vera Krichevskaya, a writer and producer for the New Times magazine in Moscow, take pictures and talk with dragline operator Wilford Johnson in the Mosaic Four Corners Mine in Manatee County. Ten journalists from around the world who are participating in a World Press Institute fellowship got to tour the mine, which is in Polk, Manatee, Hardee and Hillsborough counties. The fellowship immerses international journalists in the life and culture of the United States. It lasts two months, and the journalists tour places like Google, the New York Times and companies across the country. The fellows come from five continents and 10 countries, including China, Ghana, Colombia and the Philippines.
