Brooksville

CoDA (Co-Dependents Anonymous): Words of Wisdom group, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Salvation Army Fellowship Hall, 15464 Cortez Blvd. The purpose of this program is for the development of healthy relationships and the building of self-esteem. Val, (352) 596-2492.

Swine flu vaccination clinic: Saturday, Nature Coast Technical High School, 4057 California St. (park and enter at the back entrance of the school). Appointment times distributed at 11 a.m., with appointments scheduled between 1 to 5 p.m. There will be 600 injectable doses to be distributed first-come, first-served. Vaccinations are now open to anyone, including individuals ages 25 to 64 who do not have underlying medical conditions. Provided by the Hernando County Health Department. (352) 540-6817.

Spring Hill

Al-Anon: Adult children focused step meeting, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, Spring Hill Enrichment Center, 11375 Cortez Blvd. (behind Oak Hill Hospital). Meetings are open to all Al-Anon members and anyone suffering from the confusion of being raised in a home where alcohol was a problem. Toll-free 1-888-4Al-ANON (425-2666).

'Causes and Treatments of Fibromyalgia' seminar: 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, West Hernando/S.T. Foggia Branch Library, 6335 Blackbird Ave. Free. The speaker is Mary Bristow, doctor of Oriental medicine with the Foundation for Wellness Professionals. Diabetes Self-Management Education Program: The Hernando County Health Department offers this diabetes program throughout the year at the office at 7465 Forest Oaks Blvd. It includes three 3-hour classes that address topics specific to the concerns of diabetes patients including meal planning, medication and complications. Healthy Hearts Support Group: 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Spring Hill Enrichment Center, 11375 Cortez Blvd. (behind Oak Hill Hospital). Offered through the Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital. The speaker is certified physician assistant Karen Dixon, who works in cardiovascular surgery and has been with HCA for more than 16 years. (352) 597-6333.

HPH Hospice Community Grief Support Group: 3 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, HPH Hospice, 12260 Cortez Blvd. This ongoing bereavement support group is for adults trying to cope with the recent death of a loved one. There is no cost and no reservations needed. Toll-free 1-800-486-8784.

'Is Your Bladder More Active Than You?' — the next seminar in the For Your Health series: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane. The speaker is Dr. Omar Hamoui, who will discuss all aspects of bladder health and specific bladder conditions for men and women. A hot buffet meal will be served. Free.
