A chance encounter will give the Hillsborough homeless a better chance starting Friday.

Brand Tampa founder Julia Gorzka started exploring the possibility of creating an on-line resource center for the homeless. She shared the idea with Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales after connecting with him on Facebook. Now the Homeless Coalition of Hillsborough County will launch the Tampa Bay Homeless Wiki site Friday during a reception at Teatro on Seventh in Ybor City. Wales will speak at the event, which requires a $25 donation.
