Call it a shoppers' delight.
The Junior League of Tampa heads up a big weekend for bargain hunters and the passionate arts and crafts crowd with its annual Holiday Gift Market on Friday, Saturday and Nov. 11 at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
More than 140 merchants from Tampa Bay and around the nation will be on hand offering everything from children's items, women's clothing, handbags and jewelry to college game-day gear, gourmet food, home and holiday decor. Special events include Breakfast with Santa, celebrity chef demos and a Man Cave.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 11. The cost is $8 at the door, $6 for parking. With a valid ID, military members can take advantage of a special $4 entree fee Friday from 4-7 p.m.
As the major fundraising event for the Junior League of Tampa, 100 percent of net proceeds from the Holiday Gift Market support the league's programs and community projects. For information, go to jltampa.org.
Meanwhile, the Bridges Retirement Community, 11350 Bloomingdale Ave., hosts a gifts and crafts fair Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with more than 30 vendors selling handcrafted and manufactured products.
And Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 604 N Valrico Road, holds its Whistle Stop Craft Show on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
