Hometown Hernando for Aug. 7

16-year-old has wish granted: Jessica Smith, 16, was recently chosen to receive a trip with her family to London, compliments of the Make A Wish Foundation. Smith, who has cystic fibrosis and related diabetes, suffered a setback in 2014 and was hospitalized for an extended period. Now recovering, she continues routine treatments. The trip began with a send-off party at the Magnolia Terrace Tea Room in Weeki Wachee, where she enjoyed a traditional English tea experience and received a gift basket. The trip included all transportation for the family, including parents Lynn and Paul Smith and brother Josh; all meals, and admission to attractions. Jessica is shown on the famous London Eye Ferris wheel.
