Clubs and organizations

Pasco-Hernando State College was recently presented an exemplary practice award, a best practice award, six awards of excellence and a Best in Show award at the Association of Florida Colleges' 64th annual convention in Orlando.

Julie S. Monsegur, a PHSC health laboratory assistant, and David L. Sullivan, a professor of paramedics/EMS, won the Health Care Education Exemplary Practice Award for the health programs' collaborative simulation project, "Low Cost, High Impact in Simulation."

PHSC was one of four schools recognized by the Florida College System Chancellor Randy Hanna for innovation and excellence. The college received the Chancellor's Best Practice Award for its student assistance program, a partnership with BayCare Behavioral Health.
