High fives

On Jan. 30, at the Supreme Court of Florida, the Florida Bar recently recognized 21 lawyers, including Joseph M. Mason Jr. of Brooksville, for their work on behalf of poor and indigent clients.

Mason is in private practice with the McGee & Mason law firm, practicing real estate development and litigation law. He provides pro bono services through Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida and the Legal Advocacy Center of Central Florida.

Since 1994, Mason has provided more than 1,000 hours of direct pro bono assistance to low-income clients.
