Clubs and organizations

The Hispanic Scholarship Civic & Cultural Foundation had its annual Welcome Spring dinner-dance at the Suncoast Dance and Party Center, west of Masaryktown, on April 13.

The event featured a spring hat contest. The foundation, which began in July 2005, grants scholarships to students of Spanish descent from each of the county's high schools.

Foundation supporters include Papa Joe's Italian Restaurant, Masters Auto Air/Carlos Marrero, All Star Real Estate/Orlando D'Agrella and the Breakfast Club. For information, call Gladys del S.
