Chinsegut Run and Fun Walk: The 15th annual 5K race and 1-mile fun walk takes place on the woodland trails that wind through the old-growth, longleaf turkey oak forest; pine woodlands, and oak hammocks. Purple Heart ceremony: Hosted by the Combat Wounded Patriots of Aaron A. Weaver Chapter 776 Military Order of the Purple Heart, the ceremony will pay tribute to Florida's fallen heroes of the global war on terror and America's wounded warriors. Featured will be the Military Order of the Purple Heart Department of Florida Afghanistan/Iraq War Memorial Portrait Mural, which honors more than 250 Floridians. It is the first memorial to bear both the engraved names and color portraits of those killed.
