'Nak'd Truth' nudist reality show reveals cast list

The Nak'd Truth, the reality TV show being shot at the Caliente nudist resort in Land O'Lakes, announced its cast Sunday.

And the most eligible eight nudists for the show designed for mainstream audiences are mostly from the Tampa Bay area.

"We had hundreds of people who applied, who sent information from all over the world, as far as Australia. But we cast almost by default a lot of people from Florida," said co-producer Marisela D'Baldriche.

And sticking with producer Harris Salomon's postulation that people judge each other — often unjustly — on their garb rather than what's underneath, many of the day jobs of the four men and four women may be surprising: Finance auditor. Flight attendant. Student. Systems administrator.

The cast has shot a pilot episode for five cable networks D'Baldriche says are interested in the show. But the four-day production period earlier this month proved an awkward introduction for cast members.

Maksim Rozanovsky, 34, who works for a Fortune 100 company in St. Petersburg, is one of them. "It's going above and beyond your comfort zone. It was a little bit of a shock," Rozanovsky said.

Over four days, members of the group worked various jobs at the resort — lifeguard, greeter, laundry sorter. And they took time off for activities like volleyball, yoga and a night out at Caliente's nude nightclub.

To throw in a twist, shooting took place as a cold front was moving through the area.

"With the wind, it was challenging even for a polar bear like me," said Rozanovsky, who is originally from Ukraine.

Wayd Dionne, 23, of Lakeland is another cast member. What the brief shoot revealed to him — other than his fellow cast members' unmentionables — was that privacy has some flexibility when you're forced to live naked 24/7.

"One girl was using the shower. I asked myself, 'Why am I knocking?' I opened the curtain to talk to her," Dionne said.

The cast announced is: Jennifer Fitzgerald, 24, Land O'Lakes; Charles Hacker Jr., 22, Tampa; Fayth McCarty, no age available, Pennsylvania, recently moved to Florida; Wayd Dionne, 23, Lakeland; Christy Michelle, 26, moved from Minnesota to Florida; and Robert Smith, 29, Palm Harbor; Nicole Young, 24, no other information available; and Maksim Rozanovsky, 34, Tampa.
