Paintings moved from church for exhibition

For decades, 12 of artist George Inness Jr.'s famous paintings have adorned the walls of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Tarpon Springs. On Monday, a crew spent the day crating them for transport to the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art at St. Petersburg College-Tarpon Springs for an exhibition beginning next month. In November, two sinkholes were discovered on the property, one a potential threat to the sanctuary. The church will be rehabilitated while the paintings are on exhibit this summer.
