Pet of the week Gulliver likes to travel

This week's pet of the week is Gulliver, who digs travel, if you do. He only wants a pal. This large and gentle hound mix gives giant hugs and doesn't need to be tied down. "Gully" (ID# 1459159) loves other pets and people, and good looks haven't gone to his head. Adopt him fully neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and licensed at a special price Tuesday through Sunday at Animal Services, 440 N Falkenburg Road, Tampa. For more information, go to

Last week's pet of the week, Tank the cat, found a home. Nancy saw his photo and read about how he needed a home free of other pets. She deduced they were both lonely and could benefit from each other's companionship. In the photo with Nancy is Dr. Lisa Centonze, a Hillsborough County Animal Services veterinarian who helped care for Tank while he awaited adoption.
