Putting past on display

 
On Thursday, John Schloder, director of the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, and Stephanie Chill, a curatorial volunteer, complete the installation for exhibition of Japanese woodblock prints for the museum’s 50th anniversary celebration. They are discussing the history of Utagawa Kunisada’s piece The Beauty Makinoe. The exhibit opens on Saturday with a lecture by Schloder.
