We Are One concert on DVD

On the Sunday afternoon before President Obama's inauguration last year, HBO had a live broadcast of the We Are One concert at the Lincoln Memorial. Is HBO ever going to release a DVD set of that entire concert?

You'll be happy to hear that HBO released a two-DVD set called The Official Inauguration Celebration DVD in April.

It includes footage of the We Are One preinaugural celebration, the Neighborhood Ball and President Barack Obama's swearing in and inaugural address.

No pay for 'Talent' performers

I am wondering if the contestants on America's Got Talent get paid for their performances on TV. So many of them say they had to quit their jobs and they're broke. Also does the show pay their airfare, hotels, etc?

According to published interviews with some contestants, the show pays for travel, hotels and meals for out-of-town guests. It does not pay for the performances.

As one contestant was quoted: "I would call the exposure my act received a perk."

Fate of 'Breaking Bad, '4400'

Will Breaking Bad and 4400 ever return?

AMC announced this summer that Breaking Bad would return for a fourth season, expected to begin in July 2011.

The 4400 was canceled in December 2007 after four seasons. Fans lobbied the USA Network to reconsider but were unsuccessful.

'Doc Martin' back, 'MI-5' maybe

Do you know if two very creative and entertaining series, Doc Martin and MI-5, will have new episodes and, if so, when?

Doc Martin will begin its fifth series of shows sometime next year. Producers say eight episodes will be made. The first four series of shows are out on DVD.

MI-5, also shown in some countries under the title Spooks, has completed nine series of shows. The A&E network showed series 1-4, then dropped the show due to poor ratings. PBS started the series from the beginning in January 2009. There are conflicting reports on whether the show will continue for a 10th series.

The 'Ghost' is gone

I would like to know what happened to Ghost Whisperer. Did they just take it off for the summer? Is it ever coming back on?

CBS decided not to renew the series, inspired by the work of paranormal investigator Mary Ann Winkowski. The fifth and final season will be released on DVD on Oct. 12. A week before that, The Ice Cradle: A Novel From the Ghost Files will hit bookstore shelves. It's the second in a series of novels co-authored by Winkowski.
