Q&A: OK Sweetheart sings TCM tribute

OK Sweetheart sings TCM tribute

I would like you to find the song that is played on the cable channel AMC or TCM. It starts off "Remember me" and is a song about actors and actresses that have passed away. It is sung by a woman. I would like to know the name of this song and where I could purchase it.

We believe you're referring to the annual Turner Classic Movies (TCM) salute to movie professionals — including actors, screenwriters, directors and others in the movie business — who died in the previous year.

The song that plays as the photos appear on the screen this year is Before You Go, by the Tulsa, Okla., group OK Sweetheart. The lead singer is Erin Austin, and the other members are Bradley Waller and Alán De León Uribe.

The group's website is oksweetheart.com, which includes a link to purchase the debut album the song is on.

Here are a couple of links to the TCM video segment with the song:

Car ads feature Michigan choir

Would you mind finding out what the name is and where they are from for the spectacular choir singing in the most recent Chrysler commercials. They are wonderful! Thanks.

That's the Selected of God choir, affiliated with the Praise Tabernacle in Grosse Point, Mich.

The choir sang a gospel version of Lose Yourself in the Chrysler commercial entitled Born of Fire.

The video was produced by Chrysler and filmed throughout the Detroit area. You can download the song for 99 cents from iTunes ( itunes.apple.com/us/album/lose-yourself-single/id453175291) or watch the video at youtube.com/watch?v=sg4lSGGOfzE.

The publisher, Eight Mile Style, is donating all the recording proceeds to three Detroit charities.

In 2008, Selected of God was named the Best Small Choir in the Detroit region. It travels to churches and halls throughout the Midwest.

Actor wrote song for Syfy show

On a recent episode of Syfy's Sanctuary, the actors sang a significant portion of their dialogue. A song Magnus' father sang to her had lyrics that went: "If you are with me, of whom shall I be afraid?" My DVR cut off before it came on. Any chance you can find out the name of the song, artist and whether the song is available for purchase anywhere?

According to the Syfy show's publicist, the actor who plays Gregory Magnus, Jim Byrnes, wrote and performed the song Of Whom Shall I Be Afraid. It is available on Byrnes' LP, House of Refuge, which is for sale on iTunes.
