Raising the roof with Habitat

Habitat volunteers are erecting two homes side by side at 4526 and 4520 19th Street North as part of the "Strength in Service," campaign. 25 volunteers were on site Friday. Habitat is hosting a series of five "Strength in Service," volunteer weekends to build the two homes. The money raised from the $30 participation fee will go toward building a special "30-Anniversary Commemorative House," for a family this fall. A total of 400 volunteers are participating.
