Reader's Exchange: High Point Neighborhood Family Center in Clearwater seeks sewing, project materials

REX readers have helped the High Point Neighborhood Family Center in Clearwater get sewing materials and even a volunteer sewing teacher for their classes. Caroline Brown, the program director, wants to extend her gratitude to all those who have helped out. However, they are finding themselves in need again, and hope that generous REX readers will be able to assist. They need sewing materials and working sewing machines, as well as poster boards or blank heavy cardboard, and any old magazines. They would use the poster boards and the magazines in a project for about 60 kids making vision boards. To donate materials, drop them off at the center, 5812 150th Ave. N, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or give Caroline a call at (727) 533-0730.
