Another holiday request has landed in our in-box. Mary Padgett of Holiday has written in to see if anyone can help her daughter, a mother who works full time and also attends college. During Christmas break, her daughter would love to create some special goodies with her children. If you have a KitchenAid Stand Mixer and/or Cuisinart Pizzelle Press, in good working condition, you're not using, they'd be thrilled. Mary can be reached at (727) 937-8724 or padgett1948@aol.com.

Laura Snay of Largo has a Brother electric typewriter she'd like to part with. It works well and the booklet is included. If you're interested, call Laura at (727) 584-2130 to arrange for pickup.

We've seen some unusual requests over the years, but this is the first in recent memory for a translator. Karen Keller received a sympathy card from a relative in Europe but can't figure out what it says. She thinks the language may be Slovenian or German. If you'd like to help Karen translate the writings into English, she can be reached at (727) 683-8333.

Rita Weckesser of Beverly Hills, Fla., has two requests. She is looking for Peachtree Accounting Software (the original, which is an old version). She also is looking for a VCR/TV combination. If anyone has either of these or can tell Rita where she can find them, give her a call at (352) 746-1705.

Thanks

Marlene Brennan of Spring Hill wanted to follow up on her request for dolls for the children at Catholic Charities in Hernando County. "I want to extend my thanks to all the people that responded so generously to my plea for dolls . . .," she says. "A special thanks to Tammy of Clearwater and Jeanette of Spring Hil who donated their collection of Cabbage Patch dolls. Many little girls will have bright smiles on their faces because of the goodness of all."

Laverne Hoskin says, "Thank you to all who responded to our adding machine ad. We are very grateful."
