David Andrew Hair Salon, at 13442 Boyette Road, kicks off its grand opening Saturday at 7 p.m. by hosting "Art With a Heart," a benefit for A Kid's Place.

The event will feature food, drinks, live music and a silent auction that will include artwork by numerous local and national award-winning artists, including the Best of Show winners from the Gasparilla, Mainsail and Winter Park art festivals.

Local Valrico artists John Costin and Ira McEachern will be on hand displaying their work and donating proceeds of all work sold to A Kid's Place, a Brandon emergency shelter for abused and neglected children.

The auction will include custom gift baskets donated by local businesses.
