TAMPA — Hundreds attended the opening of the Northwest Skate Park at Jackson Springs on Saturday.
The park, at 8620 Jackson Springs Road in Tampa, has a full pipe, hubba ledge, granite rails, manual pad, pole jam and other California-style features.
Admission is free. Helmets are required and children under 12 must have elbow and knee protection.
The park will be closed today, but regular hours will be 2-9 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays; 2-10 p.m. Fridays; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays; and noon to 8 p.m. Sundays.
