ST. PETERSBURG — The St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation department made 65 tons of snow Saturday to bring a sense of winter for the opening day of the annual holiday Snowfest celebration.

Glice skating and Santa visits are from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 15, and Dec. 19-23. Skating is $5 for 30 minute sessions.
