Eckerd Friends dinner

Eckerd College's Friends of the Library annual dinner starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Orange Blossom Catering, 220 Fourth St. N. (Park across the street.) All Children's ball

"Sultry Night," the 83rd All Children's Hospital Charity Ball, returns to the Coliseum, at 535 Fourth Ave. N, St. Petersburg, from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 25. The event benefits the pediatric palliative care program. Black-tie optional. $250. (727) 347-6288.

Hadassah lunch

Cheers to museum

The Margaret Acheson Stuart Society's 2014 Wine Weekend St. Pete, a fundraiser for the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, gets started Feb. 1 with "Grape Escape," when dinner partners will gather for drinks and hors d'oeuvres in a private home, then go in pairs by limousine on wine and food "adventures." $350. The main events are a black-tie dinner Feb. 7 at the museum ($600); a gala wine auction and dinner Feb. 8 at the Vinoy ($285); and a jazz brunch and the duPont Registry Concours d'Elegance on Feb. 9 at the museum ($100; $20 Concours only).
