Florida Orchestra director Michael Francis conducts a rooftop concert Friday at All Children’s Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine in St. Petersburg. Some musicians also played in the hallways, bringing music to children unable to attend the concert. The orchestra played Rossini’s galloping William Tell Overture, also known as the theme from the Lone Ranger, as well as selections from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, Ravel’s Ma mere l’Oye (Mother Goose) suite and Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite.
