Swimmers come out in Clearwater to raise money for Moffitt Cancer Center

Swim Across America's second annual open-water fundraising swim benefiting Moffitt Cancer Center took place Saturday at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach. More than 250 swimmers, double last year's turnout when the nonprofit group raised $100,000 to fight cancer, participated in the 1-mile, half-mile or the "Iron Man Distance" 2.4-mile course, raising $150,000 for research, prevention and treatment.
