Brooksville's 20th annual Arbor Day Celebration: 10 a.m., Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville. Hosted by the City of Brooksville's Beautification Board and City Council members. Representatives from local agencies and businesses will be on hand to provide insight on choosing the proper trees for this region, and how to care for and maintain them. Jennifer Sullivan will show excerpts from a recent Democracy Now that will show a different side of some of the issues that affect policies here and abroad. Competitors are divided into four age divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14, who will compete for a chance to advance through four levels of competition, including team championships at major league ballparks and the national finals at the 2009 MLB All-Star Game.
