A jazz concert presented Wednesday by the Global Action Coalition at the Palladium in St. Petersburg benefitted victims of last month's earthquake in Nepal. Featured musicians were Kym Purling(piano), Mark Feinman (drums) and Alejandro Arenas (bass), with guest vocalist Lorri Hafer and saxophonist Ryan Redden. Proceeds from the concert will be used for tents, water, food, medicine and health care. Toward the end of the performance, Kym Purling told the audience, "It's sort of a bittersweet mixed feelings coming to play such joyous music for such a sad occasion. But, we need to remember whatever we can do to help other people we do."
