Beth Geiger, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 186, shares her passion of honoring veterans who are buried at the Brooksville Cemetery by placing flags on their graves in observance of Memorial Day. The annual event had 14 volunteers from the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 186 place 600 flags on veteran graves for those who served in conflicts from World War I to the present war in Afghanistan. "My husband Duane and brother both served their country,'' said Gail Cleaves, Veterans American Legion Auxiliary Unit 186 Chairperson. "Placing flags on the graves, it's the least we can do.''
