The Pasco County Sheriff's Office Twitter is updated almost hourly with SWAT training videos, mugshots, and deputies trying Unicorn frappuccinos from Starbucks.
Then on Saturday, a deputy snapped a selfie with Saved by the Bell star Mario Lopez during a Wesley Chapel dealership event.
".@MarioLopezExtra didn't have to be #savedbythebell cause instead Lt. Joe Irizarry was there to protect him," one tweet read. "Mario, welcome to #Pasco."
Lopez, currently a host for Extra, an Emmy Award-winning entertainment news program, was at Wesley Chapel Nissan Saturday afternoon for the dealership's official launch as the first Motor Trend certified dealer in the Tampa and Orlando area.
"He was here for a few hours, signing autographs for guests," said James Green, Internet sales product mastermind. "We're very pleased to have him."
Lopez later tweeted another photo with deputies and captioned it: "Big thanks to Tampa's finest for everything today!"
Actually, it was Pasco's finest, Mario. But we get the idea.
