Yes, it's Fiesta time

The big Chasco Fiesta street parade rolls through downtown today with about 140 entries, including 40 professional floats. The parade begins at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Gulf Drive and Grand Boulevard, then proceeds north on Grand and around Orange Lake, then on Bank Street to Main Street, heading west toward U.S. 19. This weekend also features the Native American Pow Wow and Festival, a packed lineup of live music, a carnival midway, festival food and Sertoma's award-winning beef barbecue, a flea market and arts and crafts village, children's activities and a car, truck and bike show (8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday), all at Sims Park and around Orange Lake. The festival runs through March 31 with nightly concerts and other events. For a full schedule or more information visit or check out the special section that ran Thursday in the Tampa Bay Times.
