Navy Ensign Patrick R. Foley was recently commissioned upon graduation from the naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps program. Foley joined the Navy in September. He is a 2004 graduate of Land O'Lakes High School and the son of Patricia D. and Summer R. Foley of Spring Hill.

Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Karl A. Seghorn, along with other sailors attached to the guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut, recently visited Bar, Montenegro, where they had the opportunity to experience the culture and spend time engaging with the community. Sailors planted trees for two community projects and gave shipboard tours for the U.S. ambassador to Montenegro, the Honorable Sue K. Brown, as well as ambassadors from Hungary, Romania and Slovenia. Seghorn's wife, Jennifer, is the daughter of Florence and Frank Kassay of Spring Hill.
