The Senior Softball Invitational League of Spring Hill began its winter season Sept. 18. The league is for players 50 and older. This year's teams include: Rookies/Dr. Michael Higgins, Kokomos Pub and Grill/Chaney Chiropractic, Salute Italian Restaurant and Texas Roadhouse.

    Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill on Thursday, is one of the five Republican senators who announced they cannot support the health care bill as drafted.
