Navy Seaman Trey E. Adams recently completed Navy basic training at the Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Adams is a 2012 graduate of Central High School.

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Krystal Airall, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis, recently transited the Surigao Strait, a narrow passageway between the islands of Mindana and Leyte in the Philippines, during a brief pause during routine operations. Airall is the daughter of Vonnette Airall of Spring Hill and Johnnie Johnson of White Plains, N.Y.

Bryana Perkins of Spring Hill was one of five Pasco-Hernando Community College students nominated to the 2013 Phi Theta Kappa All-Florida Academic Team. The team includes 122 students representing Florida's state, community and junior colleges, and one independent college.

Perkins, along with Jennifer Creamer-White of Lakeland, Terrencia Iles and Jessica Johnston, both of Wesley Chapel, were named to the second team. Jessica Roubert of Port Richey was named to the first team.
