Zephyrhills woman wins $2 million lottery prize

ZEPHYRHILLS — A $20 scratch-off lottery ticket yielded a payout of more than $2 million for a Zephyrhills woman.

The Florida Lottery reported Tuesday that Johnnie Wood, 45, claimed a $3 million prize in the Super Millions scratch-off game at lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. Wood took her winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,110,952.82.

She purchased her ticket at Rightway Foods, 38509 County Road 54 in Zephyrhills. The store will receive a $6,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Super Millions, which launched last month, features more than $300 million in total cash prizes and 6.7 million winning tickets. Eleven top prizes of $3 million remain. The game's overall odds of winning are one in 2.97.
