Biden's other son joins military
Vice President Joe Biden will have another military son to worry about as he helps chart America's course around the world. His youngest son, Hunter, 42, is joining the Navy. The lawyer and former lobbyist applied for a commission into the Navy Reserve as a public affairs officer and was selected, the Navy said Friday. Biden's oldest son, Beau, is Delaware's attorney general and an Army National Guard member who served a yearlong deployment in Iraq.
Monet goes for $43M at auction
A work from Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" series has been sold for more than $43 million at a New York City auction. The money will benefit the Hackley School in suburban Tarrytown, N.Y. The work that was sold is considered among the best. The Monet's sale price was $43,762,500.
Airline captain loses license
A JetBlue Airways captain who ran through the cabin of a cross-country flight yelling about religion and terrorists was prohibited Friday from flying or keeping his pilot's license, and now faces what could be the difficult task of finding work after being released from a prison medical facility. Clayton Osbon, 49, was released more than seven months after a March flight from New York to Las Vegas. The flight was diverted and safely landed in Amarillo, Texas.
