Welcome center to be built on St. Petersburg College campus in Seminole

SEMINOLE — The City Council recently unanimously decided to dedicate nearly $21,000 toward the construction of a 2,800-square-foot civic building and welcome center at the St. Petersburg College Seminole campus.

The majority of the construction will be funded by a $500,000 grant from the Edward J. and Vivian E. Lurie Charitable Foundation. In February, the chamber entered a partnership with SPC for the joint-use construction project that will be used not only by the college’s business students and the chamber, but also by area civic organizations.
