The city's contribution is coming from its portion of state sales taxes. The county's portion is coming from a 1 percent tax on hotel stays in Pinellas County. If you skewed this poll any further it would make a corkscrew laugh.

Even though more than 50% oppose the new stadium, it will be built. With support from the chamber of commerce, the newspaper, and all the moneyed interests, the desire of the citizens will mean nothing.
