TAMPA — Former Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin White scored somewhat of a victory in court late last week, or at least some of his attorneys did.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas B. McCoun III ruled Friday that an insurer for county government should pay legal fees that White incurred trying to get the insurer to pay costs for his 2009 sexual discrimination civil trial.
Lawyers Michael Laurato, Howard Levine and Jeffery Constantinos and a paralegal are entitled to $193,867, the court ruled, though they had sought four times that amount.
The money goes to the attorneys, not White.
