BROOKSVILLE — The Hernando County Planning and Zoning Commission gave a unanimous nod of approval Monday to a special exception use permit to allow a proposed Christian school and training center on the north side of Brooksville.
The Life-Vida Training Center is planned in an old day care center at Ponce De Leon Boulevard and Ganz Drive.
On weekdays, the facility will be a kindergarten through 12th grade Christian school that will follow the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum. After school, the center will provide programs for children aging out of foster care, applicant Luis Leon told the planning commission.
Weekend and night classes will be offered for adults in subjects ranging from the fine arts and interviewing skills to etiquette and Biblical administration.
