BROOKSVILLE — A Pinellas County heavy freight rigging business got a boost Monday in its effort to move to Hernando County.
The Hernando County Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval for rezoning a 1 1/2-acre parcel on Springtime Street in Spring Hill to allow the business, operated by Boguslaw Sokolewicz.
Members of nearby Faith Baptist Church argued that extra traffic, noise and outdoor storage of equipment would create problems in the neighborhood, off County Line Road.
Buddy Selph, representing Sokolewicz, said the property would be the business' headquarters, would generate little traffic and would have only a limited number of vehicles on site.
The Hernando County Commission will make the final decision.
