LARGO — An eight-year battle between Largo and a Deerfield Beach company over about $2 million has ended in a win for the city.

The 2nd District Court of Appeal in Lakeland ruled in Largo's favor Jan. 18, ending a court battle that started in 2004 when Lanzo Lining Services sued for $1.7 million it said it was owed for a project cleaning and installing new sewer lines. Largo officials said Lanzo Lining essentially walked off the job, and countersued.
