Pinellas has 9,500 absentees to count
There are 9,500 absentee ballots that have yet to be counted in Pinellas County.
Voters dropped off the completed ballots at locations across the county on Election Day. After the close of polls at 7 p.m., poll workers drove them to the elections office in Largo.
Workers did not have time to count them on Tuesday night, elections officials said.
The county Canvassing Board planned to reconvene Wednesday morning to count the two-page ballots, which had to be manually separated into piles by page to be counted, elections officials said.
