Safety Harbor searching for a poet laureate

SAFETY HARBOR — The Safety Harbor Public Library is calling for nominations for the city of Safety Harbor's first poet laureate whose role will be to promote poetry throughout the community and to inspire an emerging generation of literary artists. The selected candidate will be appointed as the poet laureate for a two-year term by the City Commission.

To be eligible, the individual must be a resident of the city, have high-quality published or documented work, be willing to make presentations in the community, pursue projects related to poetry and literary arts and be willing to encourage, advocate, and spread the joy of poetry in the community. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 31. Visit SafetyHarborLibrary.com
