North Pinelals military news

The following military personnel graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Alexander J. Stewart, son of Cindy Stewart of Clearwater, earned distinction as an honor graduate. The airman graduated in 2006 from Pinellas Park High, and received an associate's degree in 2010 from Everest University, Largo.

Air Force Airman John W. Mullins, son of Dolores and Kenneth Mullins of Tarpon Springs. He is a 2009 graduate of Tarpon Springs High.

Air Force Airman Michael J. Muldoon, son of Michael and Tina Muldoon of Palm Harbor, and grandson of Michael and Antonia Maggi of Holiday. He is a 2009 graduate of Tarpon Springs High.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
