North Pinellas military news for Aug. 18

The following military personnel graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Ryan J. DeSantis is the son of Rhonda and Ronald DeSantis of Dunedin. DeSantis is a 2010 graduate of Dunedin High School.

Air Force Airman Justin A. High is the son of Blanche Jarvis and stepson of Mark Bono of Dunedin. High graduated in 2009 from Dunedin High School.

Air Force Airman Justin D. Reeves is the son of Sheri and Stephen Reeves of Palm Harbor. Reeves graduated in 2009 from Palm Harbor University High School.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
