Pasco Sheriff's reports U.S. 19 is blocked northbound due to crash

It's a bad day to try to get anywhere fast on Tampa Bay area roadways Sunday.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is reporting by way of Twitter that a motorcycle crash on U.S. 19 has all northbound lanes shut down. Unfortunately the tweet does not mention a cross street. The Florida Highway Patrol is listing an accident near Nebraska Avenue that may be the cause.

Traffic has been at a near standstill northbound on Interstate 275 approaching Tampa over the Howard Frankland Bridge for much of the day Sunday. The Florida Department of Transportation has been saying that lanes closed due to repaving should be reopening around 2:30 p.m.

Delays there have sent motorists to the Gandy Bridge and Courtney Campbell Causeway.
