Banned items in Tampa's "Event Zone”
Rope, chain, cable, strapping, wire, string, line, tape, glass bottles, glass ornaments, lightbulbs, ceramic vessels; padlocks, tricycle locking devices, chain locks or similar devices; material designed, intended or readily adaptable for use as a portable shield but not including common umbrellas made primarily of fabric or soft vinyl without metal tips or other potentially hazardous modification; any gas mask or similar device designed to filter all air breathed by the wearer in an attempt to protect the respiratory tract and/or face against irritating or noxious gases or other materials.
Prohibited items in the Public Viewing Area
Aerosol cans; camping gear; coolers and ice chests; fireworks; lasers; nonplastic containers, bottles, cans and thermoses; sticks, poles; ladders, monopods, bipods, tripods; umbrellas with metal tips; any other item that law enforcement personnel deems to be a clear and present danger to the health, safety, welfare and good order of the persons in the public viewing area.
No Masks may be worn, with official exceptions
"It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to wear any mask or device whereby any portion of the face is hidden, concealed or covered as to conceal the identity of the wearer in the Event Zone." Government employees, people in the public viewing area and anyone parading on the official route are exempt.
