Delegations party on the beach with pop singer Andy Grammer

Closed to the public and the media, the beach party at the Postcard Inn on the Beach in St. Pete Beach took full advantage of the first day of nice weather for the RNC.

The New York and Virgin Island delegations didn't seem too perturbed that it fell on the last day of the convention, kicking off their shoes to walk past PCI's Beach Bar and enjoy pop swooner Andy Grammer (Keep Your Head Up) from the comfort of beachfront Adirondack chairs and white upholstered cabana seating.

While the hotel's restaurant, Beachwood BBQ, is known for its Kansas City and Memphis 'cue, the beach party went the burger route with a serve-yourself fixings bar and addictive housemade barbecue chips.

Los Angeles-based Grammer took time out of a tour with Train to perform for the delegations before they boarded their buses back to the final evening at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
