Final push before today's vote

Democrat Amanda Murphy, above right, hits the streets Monday in Holiday alongside campaign manager Brian Goff as she goes door to door introducing herself and asking for votes. Murphy and Republican Bill Gunter, who are running for Mike Fasano's old House seat in a special general election, knocked on doors and called voters in a final push toward today's District 36 election in west Pasco. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Gunter said he appreciated meeting voters: "They can hear from my mouth who I am and what I've done." Since Aug. 9, Gunter's campaign has raised $376,863 in direct and in-kind donations to Murphy's $132,621.
