TALLAHASSEE — Florida lawmakers returned home Thursday with no meetings scheduled for today.

But Gov. Charlie Crist will attract a good bit of attention when he hosts a town hall meeting with Rep. Lake Ray in Jacksonville. The governor's office said the hour-long event at Florida State College at Jacksonville will provide an opportunity for people to "voice their concerns about issues important to them."

Crist will surely face tough questions after a tough week in which he went on the attack against his Republican opponent in the U.S. Senate race, Marco Rubio. He is also facing questions about his deal with U.S. Sugar to buy land for the restoration of the Everglades.

In Tallahassee, economists and experts will score legislation to determine the fiscal impact. A number of economic incentive bills pushed by the GOP-led Legislature will get a price tag that will play a big part in whether they win approval this session.
