Hillsborough Commissioner Crist running for re-election

Hillsborough County Commissioner Victor Crist filed this week to run for re-election in November. Crist, 56, filed papers with the Supervisor of Election Office Tuesday to run for a third two-year term in District 2, which covers northern Hillsborough County. No opponents have filed yet to run against Crist, a Republican who served in the state Legislature before first winning a commission seat in 2010.

Four commission seats are up for election in November, and Crist was the last of three commissioners running again to officially file. Ken Hagan and Al Higginbotham, both Republicans, also are running again.
